In-Home Support Services

Under the Home Support service group of the Aged Care Act 2024, Maison delivers:

Personal Care

Assistance with bathing, showering, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene. Mobility support and transfers.

Domestic Assistance

Cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, laundry, linen changes, and general household tasks.

Meal Preparation & Delivery

Support preparing meals at home, or arranging meal delivery services.

Social Support

Accompanying you to appointments, community activities, or social outings. One-on-one social visits.

Transport

Transport to medical appointments, shopping, community activities, and social engagements.

Flexible Respite

Short-term support in your home to give your regular carer a break.

Nursing Care

Registered nurse support including wound care, medication management, and health monitoring.

Allied Health & Therapy

Allied Health & Therapy Physiotherapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy, podiatry, dietetics, and more.

Technology

Assistive Technology

Equipment and products that enable or enhance your independence at home. Examples include:

Walking frames, wheelchairs, and mobility aids
Personal alarms and emergency response systems
Communication devices
Continence products
Assistive devices for vision or hearing
Assistance dogs (ongoing funding: $2,000 per year)

Funding tiers: Low ($500), Medium ($2,000), High ($15,000), with higher amounts available with a valid prescription from a qualified health professional.

Modifications

Home Modifications

Safe, practical adjustments to your home to improve accessibility and reduce the risk of falls or injury. Examples include:

Access ramps

Handrails and grab rails

Bathroom and toilet modifications

Non-slip flooring

Widening doorways

Improved lighting

Funding tiers: Low ($500), Medium ($2,000), High ($15,000).

Your Dedicated Care Partner

Under Support at Home, 10% of your quarterly budget is set aside for care management. At Maison Care Services, this means you have a dedicated care partner who:

Plans and coordinates all your approved services
Checks in with you regularly to make sure you are well supported
Provides clinical advice and practical support if your needs change
Works with your family, carers, GPs, and allied health professionals
Develops your care plan and quarterly budget with you

Your care plan and budget are always developed with you — not for you. They outline the types and frequency of services you receive and any applicable contributions.
